Beads beads beads! (and a life update)

And lots of them too!
My mom is still making her necklaces, those of you that have me on facebook can see them in my photo albums section ^^

Most of the beads she uses are from Value Village, and some of them are truly too cute to pass up. The blue kitten and ribbon beads are my favorite! Its beads like those that make a necklace truly original!!

Quick update in other things: I'm steadily working towards finishing my summer classes, dutifully doing all my assignments on time and whatnot. Recently bought some gorgeous paper at The Paper Place in downtown Toronto which hopefully I will be able to scan in and use in some illustrations. On the drawing front: Lately I've been getting really discouraged because I can't seem to draw anything that I like, but I suppose bad drawing days work similarly to writer's block. Either I need a break, or I need to slow down and realize that not everything I create will be awesome enough to become a finalized product. Oh well. Currently I'm working on some portrait sketches using pencil crayons, but I seriously think its about time I bought new supplies!!!

Summer so far

What my summer looks like so far! backyard patio lunches with homemade salad&grilled cheese&smoothies, my mom's blueberry tart (I took a break from baking), and the messy consequences of drawing up a storm!!!

I'm baking up a storm tonight.. cranberry swirl cheesecake, lemon flavored cupcakes.. I plan on tackling a lemon meringue pie tomorrow! :O

Weird scenes inside the goldmine. Or in this case, my room. How cool is this? Casting light and shadow onto my walls... My chandelier is always a cool subject to photograph.
Looks like I'll be making experimental photography more often then not this summer, considering my inability to find a job.

Haven't posted in ages, I suppose its about time that I did. Its been a crazy and busy semester... I've been busy with schoolwork and finding a tenant for my room, so I've hardly had time to update this blog. I still need to scan and upload so many drawings, I have been working on a ton of things I swear! I just have a million excuses for not showcasing my art I suppose. Procrastination and drama. Also I can't seem to articulate myself very well online. On paper, yes. But not so much here.

Photobooth magic

Down with the flu, and feeling kind of uninspired as of late.
Its only been a week and I already have a ton of assignments that are due.. I feel like its going to be another hectic semester. Add a job into the mix and I'll have zero time for anything! But hopefully once everything starts going I'll be able to get back into the groove, and handle all of this.
Expect an actual post with good content later in the week! I just need to get myself organized...
